My eyes lit up when I discovered a sparkler blending amid the thick mat of foliage. It could be the hopper being preoccupied with whimsical fantasies was oblivious to my presence; I remained undetected marveling his diaphanous wings. On the sheer membrane, his tortuous capillaries are like a river trailing down a sorrowful voyage. As they coursed upward again from the rounded edge, I watched the lambent green turned a blue funk. In all likelihood, even insects can’t remove depression from their bloodstream. Winged creatures always spread their wings at the right moment; for them flying is effortless and seems an incredible simple task. Anytime they can leap off balconies and rooftops without approaching the pavement in pieces. I wish the airy skitter could lend me his wings because I have none.
