1919 Studebaker - a photo on Flickriver

1919 Studebaker

The August 7, 2010 classic car show at the historic Walker Tavern in Michigan's Irish Hills at Cambridge Junction near Brooklyn. Walker Tavern was a stagecoach stop on old Michigan Avenue, the first road between Chicago and Detroit.

1919 was the last year that Studebaker built a four-cylinder car. This one had been in storage in California since the 1930's and was recently purchased by Larry, making it the fifth (and oldest) of the Studebakers in his collection. After a tune-up, fluid change and carburetor rebuild, the car was running again. He recently drove this in the Quincy, Michigan 4th of July parade, the first time on the road since 1930!!! He plans to keep the car in original condition as it is seen here.
