37408 +427 010303 Strathcarron Road to the Isles 3_edited

            One of the most enjoyable weekends spent on a train for me was the Riviera Ltd Pathfinder Tours train to Kyle of Lochalsh.
This tour threw the lot at us - then, when into Scotland, cold like I have never felt before in this country. We got down to -19c in Inverness and the whole train froze, even the fuel in the Generator Coach waxed! 
By the time we got to Strathcarron the temprature had risen a bit so it started to Snow!
Charles Padget strolls around keeping an eye on the flock whilst only the fool hardy ventured out for phots. 37408 and 37427 at the head. 3rd March 2001.
