Fenchurch Street is completely different today to what it was like in the 1970's and before after being redeveloped into the City of London's Financial district. 
I never really knew the Old Fenchurch St but the modern station sat underneath a tower block lacks any character. 
Thankfully the frontage of the building was retained so at street level things are better.
Here one of the classy 310 units shuffles into the station with a Tilbury service in the evening rush hour. 310081 23rd May 2000.
Despite being 3 years into private ownership non of these trains were ever reliveried retaining NSE livery to the end.
