A daisy, in general, symbolizes innocence and gentleness. The name, "daisy," comes from the Anglo-Saxon "daes eage," or "day's eye.". This is in reference to the way flowers open and close with the presence of the sun.

The Community Gardens and Colony Farm Regional Park The gardens are situated within Colony Farm Regional Park, which is administered by Metro Vancouver.

Over 280 members tend a 7 acre site located within Colony Farm Regional Park. There are 650 individual garden plots as well as a berry border, demonstration plots, small orchard, tool sheds, a pagoda, lawns, a food bank garden and an area for community group plots.

The community garden is comprised of over 500 individual plots on seven-acres within Colony Farm Regional Park in Coquitlam, BC. It is a great location to see organic farming techniques, and to relax and enjoy nature. And, it is a wonderful spot to take photographs!
