            On Friday, December 16, 2011, former SP 6051 follows WP 913 on the Polar Express holiday train, as it crosses the Lincoln Highway, and passes the state capitol, in Sacramento, CA.
Former SP 6051 EMD is an E9A, SP Class EP624A-1. Reportedly: SP 6051 was built in 1954 by EMD as a model E9A, builders number 20100, SP 6051, SP Class DP-12. It entered service on 1955 at Los Angeles. In 1965 it was reassigned SP Class EP624A-1.
The disposition of this locomotive is: retired in 1969. Donated to the Pacific Coast Chapter of the Railway and Locomotive Historical Society. Deeded in 1978 to the California State Railway Museum. Returned to service in 1983.
