Not much is known about this rare genetic disorder, since it caught my attention about Monique Vanderstadt's diagnoses shown in A Current Affair. It affects body parts such as fingers (mainly the fifth finger), toes, and facial features that are deformed or missing. Other problems occur, such as intellectual disability, delays in speech, and body movements like walking, etc. There are people out there like Monique who have been diagnosed with Coffin-Siris syndrome (CSS) who are really struggling and need a lot of help and support. Before Emily Locke passed away, she had good knowledge and understanding of being diagnosed with CSS and knew the condition of the syndrome very well. Emily is also a very positive person and spiritually strong. She was a very talented person when it came to drawing, painting and photography. Unfortunately, there is no cure or treatment for this syndrome. More awareness needs to be spread about it. Sadly, it's not too well known or widespread in the mainstream media. CSS needs to be heavily looked at, and it is a major concern.
