            The MK 50/2 is one of the simple, super cheap manual prime lenses made by Meike. The physical build is of very high quality, all metal and tightly assembled. The clickless aperture ring is somehow crazy, jumping from 8 to 22 very fast, and it´s very hard to estimate a exact aperture number. Soft corners are always present, even at f8, and they vanish only when diffraction evens the un-sharpness in the whole field. Center sharpness can be very good to excellent up from f4, CA are well controlled, and the slight pincushion distortion can easily by corrected. The hardest part is the real world usage, DOF is always sharply demarcated, and it´s really not easy to get larger objects all sharp. All in all, although the lens is very cheap, there are some better alternatives for not a much higher price, and the results are surely better (and more easily achievable).
