I cannot fully describe to you how surreal it is to get on a boat in the middle of a hot, cloudless day, and then head into the basin at the foot of Horseshoe Falls in Niagara. Suddenly you are in the midst of a churning storm at sea, fighting waves, eddies, and swift currents. The blinding mist obscures all vision, and the roar of the falls is overwhelming. For those few minutes you enter a whole new world. It is to experience Niagara like no other way. This image captures a little of that as these rock formations are pounded by the fury of the falls. You have to get close to realize that these falls have teeth!
