RD21458. GWR Corridor Third.

RD21458. One of two such vehicles in the Great Western Railway's collection at the Didcot Railway Centre, this is Great Western Railway Collett Corridor Third built in 1940.

There were once hundreds of these vehicles across the Great Western network and they were a familiar sight on the Western Region of British Railways after nationalisation in 1948. They have eight compartments and there are four doors on the corridor side and two doors on the non-corridor side.

Another resident at the Didcot Railway Centre is the unique Steam Railmotor No. 93; while I was there I took some video starring this amazing vehicle in action and this is now on YouTube. To make viewing easier, I have broken it down into three bite-sized chunks and here are the links:
