The South Gardens are usually private - they are only open to the public for a few weeks around Easter.

Burghley is just outside of Stamford, in Lincolnshire, but much of the Park/Estate is actually just over the County border in Peterborough/Cambridgeshire - hence the cross posts.

Burghley House is regarded as being one of the greatest of the Tudor Great Houses.
