One unlike the other

            Ducks paid no mind to a fishing great blue heron at the Lewis and Clark Wildlife Management Area located in the Missouri River bottoms south of Williston, North Dakota.  It was the first autumn morning (9-22-2024) and quite calm on the backwaters of the Missouri with few sounds other than the croaking of various "gbh's", a few honking geese and the occasional splash of surfacing fish.
