Sellwood Bridge • New West Side Traffic Flow • April 22, 2015

Last weekend traffic flow was moved from the temporary West approach (above the black vehicle at left) onto the new permanent West approach (spans 1&2 of the new bridge); compare with these photos taken before and after the last traffic flow change. Next the temporary West approach will be removed so that a new onramp from the new bridge to Northbound Highway 43 can be completed. When the new bridge is completed in early January 2016, Highway 43 will be moved from the current middle lanes above eastward and underneath Span 1 of the West approach; see the diagrams of the future completed interchange at the bottom of this page.
