Vertical Speed Indicator: Indicates the speed at which the aircraft is ascending or descending, measured in feet per minute. Compass: A magnetic instrument that indicates the direction of the aircraft relative to magnetic north. Fuel gauges: These gauges show the amount of fuel in the aircraft's various tanks. Engine instruments: Tachometer: Shows the speed of the engines. Oil temperature gauge: Indicates the temperature of the oil in the engines. Oil Pressure Gauge: Shows the oil pressure in the engines. Exhaust Gas Temperature Gauge : Measures the temperature of the exhaust gases from the engines. These gauges and instruments together form a comprehensive system that provides pilots with the necessary information to fly the aircraft safely and efficiently. They are an essential part of the cockpit and demonstrate the complexity of flying a large commercial aircraft such as the DC-8.

De Douglas DC-8 cockpit met registratie OH-LFT in het Fins Luchtvaartmuseum is een bijzonder stuk luchtvaarterfgoed. Dit specifieke vliegtuig speelde een belangrijke rol in de geschiedenis van de Finse luchtvaart en biedt bezoekers een tastbare verbinding met het verleden van de commerciële luchtvaart in Finland.
