            At left, Josh Arnold, Campus Energy Coordinator, and students look at an agrovoltaic planter which demonstrates how plants and solar panels can occupy the same space during a UW Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin System meeting hosted at Union South at the University of Wisconsin–Madison on Feb. 8, 2024. This is a proof of concept that solar panels can exist and collect energy without significantly reducing the crop yields.The angle the solar panel can be changed to get more or less sunlight depending on how much shade you want on the plants. There’s a rain collection system so that not all the rain drips off the front so you water all the plants underneath it.
