Since 1798 a ferry connected Augusta, Kentucky with Ohio, just downriver from Higginsport. The ferry Jenny Ann charges $7.00 per car or $1.00 for a pedestrian. Weather permitting the ferry operates from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
