Eurostar 4015 + 4016 @ Arbre 🇧🇪

De renovatiewerken aan de oudste hogesnelheidslijn van België (L1) tussen Y Coucou en de Belgisch/Franse grens gaan vandaag hun laatste week in (geplande einde is voorzien op 29 augustus).

Zoals ik bij deze foto al schreef moeten alle eurostars en TGV INOUI dus een omleidingsroute volgen. Waar de 'rode' eurostars naar Parijs volledig via het klassieke net rijden (lijnen 96, 97 en 78), volgen de 'blauwe' eurostars naar London en ook de TGV's naar diverse bestemmingen in Frankrijk eerst nog een stukje L1 vanuit Brussel tot aan de Y Coucou nabij Ath. Daar wisselen de treinen op de klassieke lijn 94 tot aan de Belgisch/Franse grens nabij Blandain.

Het stond dan ook als een paal boven water dat ik zo een omgeleide eurostar op lijn 94 wou fotograferen en dan nog het liefst op het plekje in Arbre, onder het motto 'un train eurostar détourné à côté d'un arbre à Arbre' 😉

Gistrerenmorgen vielen de puzzelstukjes eindelijk goed en trok ik dus richting Arbre. De bewolking kwam wel opzetten maar met een geplande doortocht rond 11u15 moest dat net nog lukken... alleen was de bewuste eurostar in Lille-Europe met +30 vertrokken waardoor ik de bui al een beetje zag hangen. Nu, de trein had tijdens de rit wel al 8 minuten van de vertraging goedgemaakt maar dat was net één minuutje te weinig voor de zon... [M] Ik besloot dan ook om de opklaring digitaal net een minuutje langer te laten duren.

Due to infrastructure works on the Belgian high-speed line 1 between Halle and the Belgian-French border from 12/08 until 29/08, train traffic has been interrupted on a part of this line. So the Eurostar trains between London and Brussels (and further on to Amsterdam) must take an alternative route via the classic Belgian line 94 from the French-Belgian border to Y Coucou (near Ath) where the trains can take again the high speed line to Brussels.

So, here you can see Eurostar 9114 from London to Amsterdam between the fields in Arbre on the classic line 94.
