End of the Line-for the present

            The End of the Line-for the present. The Midland Metro's track abruptly ends at the top of Stephenson Street, at the intersection with Pinfold Street. CAF Urbo 3 Tram No. 36 waits at the top of the headhunt before returning to the southern terminus of the system outside the Stephenson Street entrance to New Street station: interestingly, perhaps as a reflection of the times, this terminus is not named after the railway station, but Grand Central, which is the retail area above the station. Birmingham landmarks surround the area, with the Rotunda and Exchange Buildings on the left and the now stainless steel-encased New Street station on the right.
