Eisenbahnmuseum Bochum: Lokomotive "BLE 146" im Ringlokschuppen.

            Diese Kleinbahnlokomotive aus dem Jahr 1941 (Hersteller: Henschel & Sohn Kassel) ist in ihrem Arbeitsleben ganz schön herumgekommen: Zuerst war sie in Schlesien eingesetzt und danach bei zwei verschiedenen Bahnen in Schleswig-Holstein. Schließlich gelangte sie nach Hessen zur Reinheim-Reichelsheimer Eisenbahn und zur Butzbach-Licher Eisenbahn. Seit dem Jahr 1970 gehört sie dem heutigen Eisenbahnmuseum Bochum.
Das kleine Maschinchen entstammt dem sogenannten "ELNA-Programm", das von 1919 an vom "Engeren Lokomotiv-Normen-Ausschuß" der deutschen Lokomotivfabriken (daher der Name ELNA) ausgearbeitet worden war. Der Sinn des Programms bestand darin, den deutschen Klein- und Privatbahnen  die Anschaffung neuer Lokomotiven zu erleichtern. und zwar, indem man die Maschinen zu einem günstigeren Preis herstellte und anbot. Dazu stellte man einen Typenkatalog auf, in dem alle Typen weitgehend genormt und aus möglichst vielen untereinander austauschbaren Komponenten zusammengesetzt waren. Das senkte die Kosten bei der Herstellung und auch bei der späteren Unterhaltung. Die Lokomotive des Eisenbahnmuseums Bochum gehört zur Type "Elna 2", leistet 500 PS, ist  max. 50 km/h schnell und belastet die Schienen mit einer Dienstmasse von 47,5 Tonnen. Sie befindet sich in einem sehr guten Zustand, ist derzeit aber leider nicht betriebsfähig. Dies soll sich jedoch wieder ändern - das Museum strebt die erneute Zulassung an. Dafür fallen allerdings Kosten an, für deren Deckung Spenden höchst willkommen sind.

This small railway locomotive from 1941 (manufacturer: Henschel & Sohn Kassel) has come around quite a bit in its working life: first it was used in Silesia and then on two different railways in Schleswig-Holstein. Finally it came to Hesse to the Reinheim-Reichelsheim Railway and the Butzbach-Licher Railway. It has belonged to what is now the Bochum Railway Museum since 1970.
The little machine comes from the so-called "ELNA program", which was developed from 1919 onwards by the "Specialized  Locomotive Standarization Committee" of the German locomotive factories. The purpose of the program was to make it easier for German small and private railways to purchase new locomotives. This was done by producing and offering the machines at a cheaper price. For this purpose, a type catalog was drawn up in which all types were largely standardized and made up of as many interchangeable components as possible. This reduced the costs of production and later expenses of the maintenance. The locomotive of the Bochum Railway Museum is of the type "Elna 2". It has an output of 500 hp, reaches a maximum speed of 50 km/h and loads the rails with an operating mass of 47.5 tons. It is in very good condition, but is unfortunately not operational at the moment. However, this is about to change again - the museum is aiming for renewed approval. However, there are costs involved, which donations are most welcome to cover.
