Church of the Seafarers

            St. Michael's Church is one of Hamburg's five main churches and one of the most famous churches in the city. It is a landmark of the city and is considered to be one of the finest Hanseatic Protestant baroque churches.
The 132 m clock tower is a significant part of the skyline and was a navigation aid for ships sailing on the river Elbe. It features an 106 m observation platform with a panoramic view of the city and harbour. The clock tower features four 8 m (26 ft) clock faces that are the largest clock faces in Germany.
