“To be, or not to be, that is the question”

            Arguably the most famous line in the history of English literature, which is not surprising because it originates from the hand of arguably the most famous writer in the history of English literature as well.

The question that William Shakespeare (a well-known Rail Enthusiast of the time) was of course wrestling with when he penned those immortal words was why the powers-that-be at Hanson decided to name 59102 Village of Chantry when Chantry is in fact a Hamlet* (ha, see what I did there?) in the Mendips not a village (like Whatley, Mells & Great Elm)?

Shakespeare was a prolific writer of plays, sonnets and poetry, he also wrote the first three series of Midsomer Murders.

59102 pulls slowly through Styles Hill on the Frome avoiding line with 7A09 07.12 Merehead to Acton, the jumbo consist running as a class 7 (note at the very end are 3 flat wagons bearing concrete blocks). 

Rising above the trees in the far distance can just be seen Alfred's Tower. Completed in 1772, the 161ft (49m) tall folly in Somerset stands near the border with Wiltshire on the Stourhead estate. The tower stands on Kingsettle Hill and belongs to the National Trust. It is designated as a Grade I listed building.
