26 Martyrs Museum

            As it is the Lenten Season, and with social isolation, I have had time to reflect more deeply on my faith. I have had the great fortune to travel extensively due to my work, and at times, have been able to visit, what I consider, important Catholic/Christian sites. I spent 9.5 years living in Japan, and once took my family on a trip visiting important Christian sites in that country. One wonderful experience we had was visiting the site of the 26 Martyrs of Japan (Nagasaki). It is a powerful story captured by both a monument and an impressive museum. Viewing the images from this trip again is helping with my Lenten reflections and making the social limitations of this turbulent and uncertain time a little more tolerable. I hope all on this site are healthy and safe, and my thoughts and prayers are with those who are not.
