1959 Austin-Healy 3000 MK BN7

            If you want a full roadster experience then this sports car is the ultimate.
The Austing-Healy was born out of a collaboration between Austin, part of the British Motor Company (BMC) and the Donald Healy Motor Company.
Donald Healy was a car designer and passionate racing driver who started designing his own models that were, however, too expensive for the general public.
After partnering with Austin and Healy, they managed to build a relatively inexpensive sports car and the Austin-Healy's became a formidable competitor to MG and Triumph sports cars.
The Austin-Haley managed to take many famous ralley victories to its name.
The car had a characteristic growling sound, the so called "Healy sound".

The powerplant consisted of a 6-in-line cylinder engine block with a capacity  of 2987 cc and delivered an output of 124 HP and achieved a top speed of 185 km/h. Its acceleration speed was 11,4 seconds from 0-100 km/h.
The car had a 4- speed manual transmission and was equipped with disc brakes on the front wheels and brake drums on the rear wheels.
Total unladen weight was 1.143 kg.
As mentioned above, driving this sports car is the ultimate pleasure, but it is a great pity that the car was not equipped with a roll bar, because if the car flips over in a collision, you run the risk of very serious injury.

The value of a restored and reconditioned as it is pictured is around € 85.000,00
The number of cars of this type built is 6.118 pieces worldwide, so you can easely say that this portrayed car is rare.
