My kind of happiness II

            I always get so happy when I see eagles. They are so majestic and powerful, completely different from me, and I always feel honored when I get to meet them. 
Fortunately, I see them now and then, however this meeting at 69° north felt very special. I hoped to see some of them when we drove down the coast of Andøya, and my eyes went back and forth along the road as we drove. Suddenly I saw two small silhouettes on a cliff down by the sea. I stopped at the side of the road and carefully got out of the car. I was afraid they would take off before I got close enough, so I took pictures at regular intervals while moving towards them. I walked calmly so as not to frighten them, but at the same time I did not have the calm to sneak up on them. 
I've had some focus problems with my telephoto lens, so I had put on a 100mm lens as an alternative. However, the evening light on Andøya was so wonderful that I was not disappointed that I did not get a close-up photo of them. With the brightly colored evening sky in the background, the majesty of the eagles was highlighted almost even more, I think. As they took off, one eagle came back towards me and did a lap of honor over my head before flying off after its mate. 
Happiness is a good thing.
