Sometimes I feel like a motherless child A long way from my home (VI)

Now I see this series as the story from the other side. That’s like I myself spending hours every day looking at the stories and posts from Ukraine on insta and reading a lot of articles about help which you in other world are giving to my brothers and sisters in Ukraine (and I’m so grateful for it). And thinking and thinking and thinking…
From this side I’m seeing something which you in other world could miss (or maybe not). Don’t you know for example that they offered 500 rubles (now it sounds like “rubble”) and the hot meal to everyone who attended yesterday concert with the performance of our ruler? And an excellent marks for the students. And they obliged the budget-sector employees to be there and arranged the transfers for them. And a lots of people just checked in and immediately leaved this pathetic venue.
Did you saw the photos of the little children in the Russian kindergartens staying on those knees in the shape of the “z”, which looks like the hostages, just without the bags on those heads?
Do you know that people in Russian grocery stores are fighting for the sugar?
But a week ago you’ll still be able to buy an alcohol in some places at the pre-war price. Though in the most shops it costs twice as much, especially foreign, and we’re still not good in the processing of wine. And I myself don’t like the Russian vodka. Whisky and cognac are quite ok for me. And a lots of my countrymen and countrywomen including myself couldn’t live absolutely sober this days. Now I drink beer. It’s like you know that the catastrophe is occurred though a lots of things around are keep suggesting that it’s not the end of the world (I hope so, I’ve read the Bible and don’t want to see it with my own eyes thank you very much). All the friends and relatives are alive, I’m sitting in the warm house and have some food in the fridge – much more expensive than 2 weeks ago but we Russians got used to that. Seems that the war is somewhere else. But you feel very deep inside that it’s not true. The war is right here. And it’s not mine.
