37416 & 37411 exit Horseshoe Curve

Reprocessed. On 1st May 2000, 37416 & 37411 blast their way off the Horseshoe Curve and climb up to County March summit, under the shadow of the impressive Ben Dorain. This was my first time on the West Highland line (what a mistake that was leaving it so late..) and I had little idea about locations, I had driven from Inverness after picking up a hire car, then driven via Fort William photting the sleeper and a charter at mundane spots I'd found, not knowing any better, then drove through the amazing Glen Coe valley, wow! I parked on the side of the A82 and had to wade across the river in the valley to reach this spot, I'm so glad I did as this shot has so much more power than the normal shots taken at County March from the roadside.
The 37s are hauling 7D60 Fort William-Mossend conveying cargowaggons loaded with paper and at the rear are three slurry wagons.
