Heron in Profile - a photo on Flickriver

Heron in Profile

            I saw this guy at the National Zoo in DC – he's not a resident, just a visiting wild bird stopping in at a bit of green space.  But he was one of the most cooperative models I've worked with – posing every which way, coy looks, the whole nine yards.  I think he thought I was going to make him famous.
