River Swale Estuary Kent... - a photo on Flickriver

            Conyer, just to the east of Sittingbourne, is in the central part of the Swale River, where this tidal creek has moorings for small boats. The hamlet has an ancient history of smuggling, brick making and barge building; today it is a residential community with a boating fraternity. It is visited by people who enjoy wild open spaces and walking the Saxon Way as well as birders
