My ninth image on explore (8/10/2016) reaching No. 28! The fact that this translates into only 1300 views, while my earlier explores, none of which were in the top 50 all recieved over 8000 views suggests Flickr is now in a perilous state.

Cherry blossom in Highfields Park, at the University of Nottingham.

The Highfields Park estate was originally landscaped by Joseph and Alfred Lowe in the 18th century. The park grounds were purchased by Sir Jesse Boot, founder of pharmacist Boots & Co, and presented to the University in 1920, allowing the University to move from their former site in the centre of Nottingham.

Taken with a Nikon D40, fitted with a Nikkor 50mm 1:1.8 AIS manual focus lens and processed in GIMP and Photoscape.
