SAR 965 leads an oil train through Hallett Cove Beach

            A Red Hen can also be seen heading in the opposite direction at the rear of the oil train. 
The oil train would have originated from the now demolished Port Stanvac Oil Refinery. 
This scene has now changed very much with the line being extended to Seaford, electrified, a new station canopy, the withdrawal of every piece of rollingstock in this image and more housing development in the area.
This view was taken in October 1976.
