Sunrise for my Mum.

My mum is gravely ill so I thought that I would dedicate this image to her. She always loved my sunrise and sunset shots and she has always been my biggest fan in regard to my photography. Up until recently she would get on to Flickr to see what photo I was putting up, she would read all the comments (she loved all your beautiful comments Brian Spicer and she would hop over to your page to see what you were getting up to too) and she was the most excited for me when one of my images was explored. I hadn't had a photo explored for quite some time until just a day or 2 ago and when I whispered to her "hey Mum guess what? I got an Expore! " a smile broke out, she was so happy. So this image for her - even though she won't see it on Flickr, she has already seen the image when I first got back from New Zealand.

This is the last of the 3 images that I wanted to share with you of this jetty. The morning started out as rainy and drab but got better and better as the morning progressed.

As I've mentioned in my previous posts Te Anau was one of my favourite spots in New Zealand. It was a real surprise packet, the scenery was to die for, the food was really really good and we had a fabulous farm stay at Sou'West Cottages.The couple who own these cottages are super friendly and have lived here their whole lives so know all the ins and outs of all the locations including Milford and Doubtful Sounds. If you get a chance to come, don't just come as a day visitor on your way to Milford Sound, stop and stay overnight - you won't be disappointed.
