Specimen - a photo on Flickriver

Specimen

            I wanted to make connected limbs because I love doing that concept. When I shot this, I hated the background, it was just trees and rocks but it didn't look photogenic, so I decided to darken it and make this look like a combination of alien and human type of thing. Or like a human being detaching from another one.

I also tried adding textures to this but it didn't end up looking good and it kind of messed up the aesthetics I was going for. At first I thought I wouldn't be able to pull it off but it worked at the end and I'm more than happy with the result.
