Il Chrysler Building è una pacchianata pazzesca!
Non saprei cosa inquieta di più, se l'esterno in acciaio (gargoyle compresi) o l'atrio in marmo ambrato e legno scuro.
A parte i pareri personali, è un grattacielo da vedere, soprattutto per apprezzarne alcune particolarità che riporto dalla mia fedele guida:
1) L'atrio, con marmi e legni intarsiati provenienti da tutte le parti del mondo. Il soffitto è un immenso murale, ampio circa 29x30 mt, che è probabilmente il più grande del mondo.
2) La guglia d'acciaio in sette archi: fu costruita in segreto nella tromba delle scale e sollevata e ancorata sul posto in soli 90 minuti nel 1930.
3) Le gargolle in acciaio a forma di aquila e i "copri mozzo" alati a forma di tappi dei radiatori delle Chrysler anni '20.

The Chrysler Building is so tacky!
I wouldn’t know what is more disturbing, if the steel exterior (including gargoyle) or the atrium in amber marble and dark wood.
Apart from personal opinions, it is a skyscraper to see, especially to appreciate some peculiarities that I report from my guide:
1) The atrium, with inlaid marble and wood from all over the world. The ceiling is an immense mural, about 29x30 meters wide, which is probably the largest in the world.
2) The seven-arched steel spire: It was built in secret in the stairwell and raised and anchored in place in just 90 minutes in 1930.
3) Eagle-shaped steel gargoyles and winged "hub caps" in the form of radiator caps of the Chrysler 1920s.
