The God's Finger from the Summit of the Peak of Escalavrado at 1,420 meters (4,659 ft) MSL, Serra dos Órgãos ('Organs Range') National Park, Guapimirim and Teresópolis, Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil.

            The Finger of God is a peak with 1,692 meters / 5,551 feet of altitude whose outline resembles a hand pointing the index finger to the sky. It is one of several geological monuments of Serra dos Órgãos, which is located in Serra do Mar, between the cities of Petrópolis, Guapimirim and Teresópolis, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The peak is located on the edge of the Serra dos Órgãos National Park, in the territorial area of Guapimirim, and is best seen from the superb viewpoint, located on BR-116, near the entrance to the municipality of Teresópolis.

On April 9, 1912, José Guimarães Teixeira, Raul Carneiro and the brothers Américo, Alexandre and Acácio de Oliveira, all from Teresópolis, were the first to step on top of the rock formation. Mountaineering in Brazil is closely linked to this achievement. The peak is a symbol of the state of Rio de Janeiro, appearing on its flag and coat of arms.

At 1,692 meters / 5,551 ft above sea level, it is one of the most popular peaks for climbing. The walk is tiring and the most common climbing routes are 3rd degree (Caminho Teixeira) or 4th degree (East Face).
