Island glimpse - a photo on Flickriver

Island glimpse

            A stream created after the continuing heavy rains along the NSW coast. The water here runs out of the forest which is right next to it. I had never seen this stream continue to the sea until the last year or so. A short while after this photo was taken, the stream had dried up or had soaked into the sand. The water is the colour of treacle as it contains tannin. A part of Bournda Island appears through the mist on the right side. Tura Beach North in the Bournda National Park on the Far South Coast of NSW.
