Can't always be summer & sunshine

Probably one of the better kept secrets, Kvernufoss is a hidden-from-plain-sight waterfall not far from the famous and now ridiculously overcrowded Skógafoss. We ventured there last weekend under a heavily overcast sky, but I loved being there nonetheless. Only a couple of years ago, we locals use to be able to travel around Iceland during winter without ever running into tourists, but now, even in the middle of january, it's a challenge finding a spot with no one around. Guess we can't have the cake and eat it too. Thanks a lot, Eyjafjallajökull.
