Schuilschuur - a photo on Flickriver

Schuilschuur

Buiten plenst het van de regen, de boerenschuur biedt beschutting. Onder het dichte afdak wordt de doorkomst van de goederentrein afwacht. De grote locomotief 498.04 trekt de lange sleep goederenwagens door het natte landschap. Door het neerdalende hemelvocht ligt de stoompluim laag boven de trein.

De locomotief is in 1928 door Krauss in Linz gebouwd. De letter h van Heißdampf in de type-aanduiding Uh geeft aan dat dit een locomotief met oververhitter is. Bij aflevering waren de locomotieven voorzien van de moderne Caprotti-Ventilsteuerung. Sinds 2012 is de 498.04 gerestaureerd . De krachtige machine valt bij speciale gelegenheden op de Steyrtalbahn te bewonderen.
