Failed ridge board LV4A4215

            There's a good chance that the broken ridge board is an effect, not a cause. Taken en-masse, this structure consists of four separate components, with this one being the newest. It was built and used as a "great room" that connected the building in the background with a similar but smaller building to my rear. A failure in back of me at the junction of the two roofs let water weaken the attachment. At some point what was probably a sag in back of me got severe enough to give way, perhaps in the winter under the weight of snow.
