This table shows us the natural help in the act of birth, as well as the release of the afterbirth (placenta) including the membranes and umbilical cord. A healthy woman can give birth completely alone, i.e. without support, a well-considered help confirmed by experience but not only has a very beneficial effect, but also protects against accidents. The tearing of the perineum due to the sudden protrusion of the head, which is most often observed in violent contractions and weak tissues, excessive blood strain, entanglement of the child in the umbilical cord, prolapse of a small part of the child and other things are the most common accidents that occur can be prevented or dealt with quickly with the presence of an experienced obstetrician. The simple help, which can only be carried out with two trained hands, is shown in Figs. 1 and 3: protecting the perineum so that the hard head does not tear it and loosening the head in a child born in the foot position. The hands, our most artistic, sensitive tools, accomplish everything and have major tasks, especially in obstetrics.
In Fig. 3, the left hand pulls the head out by hooking it into the mouth, while the right hand pushes firmly from above. The gradual separation and expulsion of the afterbirth through continued contractions was expressed in Figs. 2 and 4, while Figs. 5, 6 and 7 show the changed conditions of the cervix. The originally long neck of the uterus finally disappears completely (Fig. 7) and the initially high amniotic sac finally bulges into the vagina. Only when it ruptures and the amniotic fluid flows out does the child's emergence progress more quickly. What our hands are capable of is further demonstrated in Figs. 183 to 185, pages 308 and 309, in the event of miscarriage and previous events.

Postupno odvajanje i izbacivanje potomstva kontinuiranim kontrakcijama izraženo je na slikama 2 i 4, dok slike 5, 6 i 7 prikazuju promijenjeno stanje vrata maternice. Prvobitno dugačak vrat maternice konačno potpuno nestaje (slika 7) i prvotno visoka plodna vreća konačno se izboči u rodnicu. Tek kada pukne i plodna voda iscuri van, porođaj djeteta napreduje brže.
