Not The Highland Games - Honiton Show.

            Today was the 2022 Honiton show, an agricultural, farming show in Devon, UK.

County shows in the UK are a bit like small "county fairs" in the USA - an opportunity for farming folk to get together, show off their work and have some fun.

Now the Honiton show is held a mere 11 miles from my home but in 30 years I have never been, mainly because its held on a Thursday and most of us non farmers have to follow a fixed weekly work pattern. But now I am retired!

The feel of the Honiton show is more friendly and local than the "Mid Devon" and Devon shows that are both larger and more commercial.

The weather this year was great warm sunny and a gentle breeze (no it didn't rain). The Cider was good but its a long walk to and from the car park (and I was there at 08:30) especially if you arrived after lunch.

A colour shot seemed appropriate to start this set of images and Angus here didn't look right in black and white.
