High-tech farming (explored)

            Many farmers near Regensburg grow sugar beets. For harvesting and loading they need huge and expensive machines. Therefore they hire agricultural contractors, which harvest, load, and transport the fruits to the nearest sugar refinery.

This is a so called Maus, which is a self-propelled machine for cleaning and loading sugar beet from the clamp at the edge of the field to a truck on the road. These machines can efficiently clean and load up to 550 t of sugar beet per hour.
