We got lucky recently and got cheap tickets to visit the stunning state of Alaska for a few days. When I say a few days, it is literally for five days, and frankly, that's not nearly enough to visit the largest state in the US. We are all still recovering, but the landscape was just incredible. Our itinerary was packed, and we barely had any real-time at any specific location. Still, it worked great as a scouting trip.

On our drive to Denali National Park, we came across these stunning mountains of the Talkeetna Range. Throughout our drive, it was mostly cloudy, with snow coming down at higher elevations, and it was the first time any peaks were visible to us. I would not let go of my chance to get the mountains against the elusive blue sky. The light that hit the hills as the sun broke through the clouds was just spectacular. The theme of this trip was primarily grim conditions with short moments of incredible light. I have never been so excited to post-process images after a trip.
