60026 - a photo on Flickriver

            GB Railfreight's Beacon blue 60026 "Helvellyn" basks in the sunlight as it prepares for the climb to Bootle Jn with 6E10 Liverpool Biomass Terminal - Drax PS loaded biomass. 

As quite often the case with these trains, the tug was being used as a draw back loco to take the train the short distance to Tuebrook sidings. From there, the service loco, 66775 "HMS Argyll" on the rear (out of shot) after bringing the empties in earlier would go it alone. Interesting to note the 66 on the rear was also powering and made more of a racket passing me than the 60. Presumably the 66 was acting as a banker to assist the heavy train up the incline.

After missing out on 60095 on 6E09 earlier in the morning, I took a punt that the beacon blue beauty would move over from Tuebrook to assist the shed on the later train. Embarrassingly considering this shot is 5 minutes in the car from where I live, this is my first time doing a 60 on these trains. Glad that it was this loco on only its second day operating off the docks since getting its current paint job.
