Toui de Deville - Cobalt-winged Parakeet

            En Équateur, au Napo Wildlife Center, les Touis de Deville (Brotogeris cyanoptera) descendent régulièrement auprès de cette source pour y consommer l'argile nécessaire à leur équilibre métabolique. L'approche se fait très lentement, par étapes prudentes afin d'éviter les prédateurs qui fréquentent l'endroit et apprécient les perruches. À la moindre alerte, les oiseaux s'envolent jusqu'à une prochaine tentative.

In Ecuador, at the Napo Wildlife Center, Cobalt-winged Parakeet (Brotogeris cyanoptera) regularly come down to this source to consume the clay necessary for their metabolic balance. The approach is done very slowly, in careful stages in order to avoid the predators who frequent the place and appreciate the parakeets. At the slightest alert, the birds fly away until a next attempt.
